| Butterfly Pupa Butterfly Caterpillars Butterfly Eggs for spring gardens! White Swamp Milkweed- Asclepias Perennis- Rooted cuttingsDescription White Swamp Milkweed - Asclepias perennis,is occasional in southern Illinois, while in the rest of the state it is not found. Illinois lies along the northern range limit of this species. Habitats include floodplain and bottomland woodlands, swamps (including Bald Cypress swamps), borders of ponds and streams in shady areas, and ditches. This milkweed is usually found in higher quality wetlands that are semi-shaded to shaded. Plant in shade/part sun and treat as an annual. Save the seeds and start them yourself next year (this milkweed is easy to grow from seed). Shipped as rooted cuttings with no soil. Milkweed wilts in high heat above 95. These cuttings are about 3-5 inches tall and will take up to two-three months to be full grown for Monarchs to feed on. These cuttings are what we use for our butterfly farm. They grow fast and are very easy to take care of.
